The Great Conversation and the Pursuit of Happiness
8 Week Live Online Class
9 Sept – 28 October
Tuesday 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Aristotle says happiness is something that everyone seeks, but it can’t be found by seeking it. How, then, are we happy?
Let’s join the Great Conversation and see what philosophers, historians, novelists, and even mathematicians have to say about the search for happiness.
This course includes reading great works, writing personal thoughts about the material, and discussing together in class. We’ll also have some simulations, debates, and other activities together to enrich the learning.
Between classes, students are expected to read and write, including end of unit papers on their takeaways and reflections on that unit.
